Golden week in Shikoku!

The gorgeous sunrise we awoke to (well, sort of) from the peak of one of the many mountains we traversed in Shikoku. This one, I think, is Tsutsuji Kouen (National Park) in Tokushima. It was breathtaking.

Yes, we were all extremely exhausted from the ridiculous amount of gravel we had to pound in order to reach our destination....you can see it in Kuriko and Kaoris faces...

On the way back to Kansai, we saw Kyushuu! Oita as seen from Uwajishima on the western face of Shikoku

Guess what this is? It's a suspension cable from the bridge linking Awaji Island and the Japanese 'mainland' (i.e. Hyougo prefecture or Kobe). Should have taken a picture with someone next to it - this was definitely volume-wise larger than me...
